I'm not sure about the fuel line routing on the 67 & 68, but on the 69 the
lines run fairly close to the exhaust near the right rear wheel. They are best
viewed with the wheel removed. I've replaced the lines more than once - the
heat deteriorates them quickly. One of these days I'll install a heat shield or
braided line.
Also if the carb has a fuel bowl leak, fuel will drip into the manifold until
the pressure bleeds off - the fuel then vaporizes...
