First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... For the little bit of welding I do, which is very little, I've been using an old "arc welder", 220 Volt large box with big rotating handle. Most of the time I use small flux coated rods at maybe 30 to 70 amps. Harbor Frieght has a "regularly $200" flux welder on sale for $99. Would that be more useful and verstitle for welding stuff? Especially thin stuff. I had to repair my old Mustang bucket seat shell with my arc welder and it was tough to keep from simply burning holes everywhere I struck an arc due to the thinness of the metal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html>
