I use the  claw portion of a claw hammer.      You will need to fold up some 
cloth the put under the rocking portion of the hammer to avoid hurting your 
paint, about an inch of solid cloth should do it.     Place the tips of the 
claw 
(s) opposite of the tension flange with your hammer handle pointin upward and 
slowly rock your hammer handle toward you.    Make sure that you are on the 
lip of the wiper portion only and not the frame work of the wiper shaft.     
This info is for those that cannot afford or have access to purchasing a 
removal 
tool.     If your car runs and drives, most auto parts stores that sells 
wipers will remove them for you for free.
