I just finished putting my grill / bumper back together...

The only trick on the 1968 was that you need to be sure that you attach the
lateral rubber fender fillers to each end of the bumper before bolting the
bumper on (Otherwise, you will not be able to tighten those two carriage
bolts...Yes, I learned the hard way and had to remove the bumper in order to
do so!)

The four lower grill support brackets can be inserted (blindly I might say)
after you have all of the upper carriage bolts in place and the bumper is
hanging.

Install in this order...

 
1.    Headlights and assembly

2.    Grills

3.    Attach fender fillers to bumper

4.    Mount bumper with upper bumper carriage bolts (leave somewhat loose
until all carriage bolts are in place.

5.    Inset lower grill support brackets

6.    Install and tighten remaining lower bumper carriage bolts


I don't have any pictures but don't sweat this procedure...it really goes
together quite easily!
