Geoff - This list has been great. If it's getting hard to administer you might consider transitioning it over to Yahoo. You can create a yahoo GROUP that does the same thing as this list does and a whole lot more. A yahoo group has not only full listserve capability with several options for the users it also has built in photo and file storage so anyone can put photos of their cars up, repair photos, etc. In the file section they can put up scanned repair manuals, assembly manuals, tech articles, or anything anyone has they want to make available to others. It also allows creation of a member database that could track people's info if they wanted to post it like their location, their car info, whatever. The photo and files section makes it so when someone has photos or files that someone else can use instead of emailing them they can just put them in the group photo or file section and they are there forever for anyone who joins later and needs the same info. It has been about two years since the developers stopped supporting the software which makes this list possible. Mailing lists software development has been on decline as people shift to other media. ISPs keep placing more and more SPAM measures in place which make running a mailing list difficult to impossible. With that said, as long as I can, I will keep the mailing list going but need to make you all aware it has reached end of life. It has been over a decade this list has been up and going so I have no intention of ending it unless ISPs make it impossible.
