I used the stock brackets and never noticed that they rubbed before I tore the 
car down. The new hoses I have seem a little longer and I have a vague 
recollection that I was a little concerned that they may rub but don't recall 
clearly. You may want to see if placing a spacer behind the stock brackets 
gives the hoses more clearance.
