First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... Thanks Kelly,
>From what I can remember the calipers used in the CPP kit are different from what I see in your pictures. I might be wrong but I think my hoses exits upwards while your hoses are pointing down. In my case the hoses get an S-curve with very tight bends when the existing drum brake brackets are used. It looks like I need to get the correct brackets or cut-bend-weld-modify my old ones. And shorten the stainless steel brake lines I bought from Matt's Classic Bowties together with the brake kit. To bad they couldn't do it right from the beginning... Oh well, another bolt on kit that need total re-engineering. /Niklas -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Kelly R Sent: Monday, August 10, 2009 4:45 PM To: 'First Generation Firebird-L' Subject: RE: [FGF] Front disc brake hose routing First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ........................................................................ . I have some pics of where the brake lines ended up on mine after the disc brake conversion. I re-used the stock front brake brackets in stock location but had to weld on brackets for the rear end. Maybe it will help. http://www3.telus.net/public/68bird/brake_work.htm Kelly ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html> Classifieds: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/ubb/> Owner Pictures: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/show/>
