First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List ......................................................................... Excellent, thanks for the picture Jim. These are the brackets that should have been supplied in the kit, in my opinion. If it's not asking too much it would help a lot if you can snap a photo from driver position showing how the hose exit the caliper and curves up to the bracket. And maybe a close up of the bracket as well. Probably I will modify my existing brackets to fit in this position if possible. Do you know if your bracket comes from a '69? I suspect they used different brackets for the 4-pot calipers and the 1-piston calipers that came in '69. Are you going to clamp the hose to the upper A-arm? In '69 they used some sort of clip or clamp to fix the steel ring which is crimped on the hose. /Niklas

Subject: Re: [FGF] Front disc brake hose routing Niklas This is the only picture I have handy. Both sides are pretty much the same. I've been told that the Firebird and Camaro did NOT route them quite the same way so if you go looking for parts try to stick with Firebird. I can easily take more photos if you need them since the fenders and all are still off the car. Hi guys Has anyone got a link to pictures of the front brake hoses installed on a car with disc brakes? I have converted my '68 from drums to discs but didn't pass inspection because the hoses are rubbing the frame. (Those guys at the inspection are quite thorough here in Sweden...) I have a disc brake kit from CPP which use the existing drum brake hose bracket. I guess I need to get the correct brackets that bolt on top of the frame or possibly modify the ones that I've got. /Niklas ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html> Classifieds: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/ubb/> Owner Pictures: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/show/>
