 I tried lots of things to improve my overheating problem but it never resolved 
100%. When I tore down the engine, I found that the two sleeves that sit behind 
the divider plate and everything around them were gummed up with sludge. It was 
like a layered cake with distinct and separate black (manganese???) and white 
(calcium) sludge. The sleeves had about a pencil-width diameter of flow. I 
assume this happened from storing the car for long periods of time. Anyway, 
lots of different reasons for overheating. Lesson learned...don't use tap water 
for your 50/50 mix... at least if you have hard water like my area or high iron 
and manganese levels.
