I've only ever seen a handful of Firebirds with OHC-6s in them still on
the
road. I love to see them, and I personally wish I had a OHC-6 to put in a
car.
$450 for a working motor and a manual 4 speed, get it. Heck the 4 speed
alone is worth that if it works.
The OHC-6 will cost a bit more to rebuild if you ever have to, but then
again, whoever said having something cool would be cheap. :)

I have been offered a cheap (I think?) sprint six engine, 4 speed box etc
from a '68 / '69 firebird as the guy is dropping in a V8.
It seems a shame as I would have thought it was quite a rare car being OHC
and manual.
I have no need for the engine and box as I have a 68 400 Convert, but I am
considering buying it to store / sell on / use in a project (got a 48 GMC
pickup)
He wants approx. $450.
A) is it worth it
B) are they good engines / reliable
