It is the four barrel carb so the high compression engine.
I spoke to the guy last night and done a deal for approx. $650 for
The engine complete with all ancillaries and 4 speed saginaw box (good
working order incl clutch, flywheel etc)
Stainless steel duel exhaust system
68 Firebird rear axle with springs etc
Brand new repro hood tach in box
I don't think it is a bad deal?
The engine is destined for the 48 GMC pick up, the hood tach for my
firebird and I plan on tripping over the spare axle and springs in my
garage for quite some time!

if its the 4 barrel carb sprint then its worth it. if its a one
barrel,maybe not.. is the trans a muncie or cast iron one? the
carb,intake/exhaust,and head,also cam are different from the one barrel
version.
