Find a tire shop that has a tool to pre-install tires without wheels. This
tool is designed to mimic any size wheel and allows you to check a variety
of tires for clearance without mounting and dismounting on wheels.
The GM dealer I work at has one of these and sells a lot of custom wheels
and tires to folks like us wanting to find just the right combination for
our cars.
