Sorry we can't really help with this kind of problem: it's up to Firefox to install us. However, I will tell you that far and away the most effect way to deal with this kind of issue is to create a new Firefox profile (config file). We have hints in our FAQ: http://groups.google.com/group/firebug/web/faq-about-firebug It is possible that our de locale isn't working, so if the new profile does not do the trick, maybe we can look there. Otherwise, ask for Firefox help. jjb
