I sthis anythig to do with microsoft update that may/maynot be making
uninstall/installs not work - I seemed to hve a number of firefox
addons or updates that are not uninstalling or installing - I tried
uninstalling a bunch in case that was causing a problem with the
firefox update, but now some won't uninstall either.

I did find this post
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2009/05/microsoft_update_quietly_insta.html

Anyone know if there is truth in it?
