Tim, thanks for the response.  As you did, I deleted both WPF
and .NET.  Still no clue.  I'm close to deciding to rebuild because
Outlook is now acting funny (always checking to verify password when
automatically checking mail) - and that's a good sign to me that
something's wrong with the OS.

Alas, if I learn more, I'll post something in this group!
