Thanks for the Status Bar -> Addon Bar clarification.

But the work around suggested doesn't restore the same FB icon. Prior
to v1.8 the FB icon in the Addon bar doesn't have any dropdown menus
which are pare of the toolbar icon down in the Addon bar.

With v1.7.3 I have both the toolbar icon, in the toolbar, and the
other FB icon that's automatically added in the far right corner of
the Addon bar.

More of an issue for me is that integration with YSlow is broken in
v1.8 which seems to expect the Addon bar FB icon or whatever
functionality it provided - a single click on either the FB or YSlow
Addon icons will start FB in the integrated window. Attempting to use
the toolbar icon down in the Addon bar doesn't work in this case.

Perhaps its also in issue for YSlow to update but for now FB v1.8 has
broken this longstanding and very much desired behavior.
