I have successfully implemented a Microsoft NT 4.0 VPN solution using RRAS.
The benefits of using MS are that Win95(w/DUN1.3 upgrade), Win98, and NT
have simple integrated connection clients. I am not sure of the
client/server compatibility with other VPN solutions. MS supports a myriad
of encryption standards. The security of a MS VPN solution has been called
into question, however,I have not seen an actual case of compromise. RRAS
has routing capability. You can allow/block traffic by IP,SRC.DEST Port. It
does not provide user level routing( Who does?). Supported protocols are
TCP/IP,IPX/SPX, and NetBEUI.
Hope this helps,
