I will disagree. I have spoken to people high up in the company regarding
this purchase by symantec. I was worried that this would turn Raptor into
norton's way of doing firewall making it more available and therefore a
greater target for hackers. The answer I recieved from all the people was
this "Symantec is remaining hands-off". They are leaving Axent alone and
leaving it in it's own company but under the "control" of Symantec. Symantec
did it for the sheer monetary gain, and is not taking anything out of Axent
or incorporating anything into their IMO crappy versions of firewalling and
debugging software.
I would recommend this firewall as I use it daily and it works wonderfully.
