While not being specific to mention PIX or IOS, it does state:
OTTAWA, Ontario, May 18 - Cisco Systems Inc. and QNX Software Systems Ltd. announced today that Cisco, the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, has licensed QNX's realtime operating system technology. Cisco has chosen QNX as its preferred realtime OS vendor as part of ongoing efforts to increase the reliability and availability of data-voice-video networks. Does this limit it to specific switch implimentations? Or perhaps this decsion was since changed and other OS decisions decided?
