exactly, that's why fish syntax appeals to me.

i'd just leave it at that. i have seen things in ruby that make me cringe.

although things are getting better with object orientation in php5 this
is still very wrong.
pike is more like java without the trainwreck.
it is somewhere between python and java with some combination of both.
note though that it is older than both python or java.

i mean innovative in the context of shells.
i do not believe that anyone considered such a feature for shells
before.

sure it is possible to write an app that can be updated from outside,
and it is done from time to time, but that's something very generic.
