We were discussing the possibility of having more than one short
completion on one line.  So I think the status should be shown in
*completions*, not lines, because that is the operative unit.  We were
also talking about selectable completions.  Would percentages work as
well then?  In general, "3-28 of 34" seems more intuitive to me than
"8%-32%".
