Not sure if this is related... But on Mandriva 2010 I see extremely slow response time when Pulse is selected. In my case though, PortAudio and OSS work fine. I haven't investigated further, but I don't get any debug messages, other than the occasional audio buffer overflow on Pulse. I did see this on Mandriva 2009.1, but it didn't exhibit the same things as 2010. The PSK scope slows to an update maybe once or twice a second on 2010 running Pulse. PortAudio and OSS are fine. In my case I am still using the Audigy PCI card and the EMU10k1 driver. And as always, I compile from source.
