Have MM people signed up for this list?  If so, what departments?  Being as
this list is a HoF list I'm sure it's going to get a majority of CF people
and thus have a slanted view of what's good for Flex (myself being equally
guilty).

Regarding Sparkle, do you really consider that a threat?  Since it'll be
longhorne specific (I assume) I don't see it as being an acceptable solution
for any clients any time within the next ten years.

Really the biggest threat I would see to Flash is if MS would add support
for SWF to Visual Studio .NET, with the ability to visually create and
program Flash apps in any .NET language it would be a huge advancement for
Flash development.  Only problem is they don't control the SWF format or the
player, so it would be a gamble.  And if they did get control of the
format/player, I'm sure they would ruin it after just one release.  Of
course they have been interviewing and hiring up Flash people to work on
Sparkle (Sam Wan big example) so maybe they will do something that is
cross-browser/platform compatible and competitive.
