That could very well be true.  Though I would like to share some of the potential reason with the user groups.  User Group Managers (and Team MM & Corporate Champions) have been pushing harder and harder for betas, documentation, and more open sharing of information.  

With the fantastic turnout at the September 3rd user group meetings showing off Studio MX 2004, MM management was impressed.  We (managers) have been pushing extra hard since then.  I think there was something like 50 or 80 managers at MAX too.
