well, this may even be their last beta participation as press releases like
this are very likely against the NDA they have signed. Anyway, the beta will
expand gradually taking more and more people in with each beta phase so just
wait and see what happens. From Cristophe's blog:

"We've received thousands of applications to the Flex beta program. It's
great to see such massive interest from all over the world. The program will
incude several rounds of testing, starting with relatively small group of
about one hundred testers and growing to include most if not all applicants
in the later rounds. We limit the participation in the early rounds to
ensure that our team can keep up with the large questions and bugs that show
up early in the process. We want every beta tester to have a good
experience. We then dial up the number of participants to the degree that we
can handle the additional load as our knowledge base grows and bug counts go
down. "
