The justifications listed here are pretty weak. http://weblogs.macromedia.com/auhlmann/archives/2006/07/cairngorm_2_for.cfm
RemoteObject, WebService, and HTTPRequest all return ResultEvent & FaultEvent events. It's also cake to have stubs return ResultEvent & FaultEvents for testing services before they are written. Finally, who the heck is using Cairngorm 2 without the the Flex framework? To me, the last argument is the only thing that is even remotely justifiable. ----- Original Message ----- From: "der_kotty" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, July 02, 2006 8:30 PM Subject: [flexcoders] Cairngorm Responder interface changes Hi, I was just wondering why the com.adobe.cairngorm.business.Responder interface has been changed since it has been released on Adobe Labs. In Cairngorm 2.0 alpha (org.nevis.cairngorm.business.Responder) the parameters of the onFault and onResult handlers were typed events (ResultEvent and FaultEvent). Why have the parameters been changed to '*'? Where is the sense in that? To my opinion this is not really best practice but maybe there's a really good reason for that? Does anyone know?
