No question about it; having a degree will make you more hireable. The HR + Recruiters (AKA Gatekeepers) don't know anything about great code samples or how to evaluate the quality of your blog. For many of the jobs out there, you need to convince the gatekeepers to let you to speak to the "People who can really evaluate your skills". And they need to use some form of cut-off to whittle down the number of applicants. A degree in a related field is one item. Certification is another. -- Jeffry Houser Flex, ColdFusion, AIR AIM: Reboog711 | Phone: 1-203-379-0773 -- Adobe Community Expert <http://www.adobe.com/communities/experts/members/JeffryHouser.html> My Company: <http://www.dot-com-it.com> My Podcast: <http://www.theflexshow.com> My Blog: <http://www.jeffryhouser.com>
