Well, having done software/systems design and implementation for most of my professional life, I can say that this activity is like nailing jello to a tree. Just the interdepencies alone are enough to take years off your life. The right thing to do is to make it as right as possible. Having been under the gun, I know it doesn't enhance my accuracy. Just the reverse. So I think we need to be patient. This is probably the best supported system I have ever owned. The products and services are top notch. Sort of like the Smith & Wesson or Mercedes of the radio business.

David,

I sincerely apologize that we are not perfect in planning, announcing, and
delivering our free software upgrades. There are many reasons that delays
happen but I won't elaborate further here. As they stay, "Stuff happens."

However, I will commit here and now that we will release when it is ready to
the best of our knowledge. We are highly motivated and care about
delivering the best products we know how to provide. We could have shipped
a buggy and/or incomplete product weeks ago but we don't think that is best
for our customers or our reputation.

As we at FlexRadio plan for the future you can expect two things to change.
First, we will be less public about future product plans. Second, software
upgrades cannot be offered free forever. It costs real money to hire
engineers who write quality software.

Respectfully,

Gerald
