Thanks. Looks like you found the solution. The programmers need to change the
way they code the path. I do not want to use the defualt location for My
Documents. I have a SSD drive that I use for the operating system and my ham
programs. Man is it fast. I put all other programs and My Documents on
conventional hard drives since the SSD drive is not large enough.

----------------------
Unfortunately, many vendors unwittingly hard-code installation paths into their
installers that use the default location of the
Documents folder. When the installer attempts to create the path desired (e.g.
C:\Users\username\Documents\SpecialFolder) Vista gets
caught in a loop trying to create a Documents folder. The Documents folder is
special and cannot be duplicated under the Users path.
This loop eventually results in an Error 1320: path too long message (if you're
lucky.)
To fix the problem:
User:
Select Start button
Right-click Documents
Select Properties
Restore Default Location
Move all files
Then, attempt the install.
Vendor:
Use the %systempath% methods for creating new directories instead of
hard-coding paths within installers.

I have all mine installed in D:\Flex Radio Systems
When I install I disable all ANTIVIRUS and DEFENDER
And then Right Click and Run as Administrator on the Setup
Also I have seen the error you have experienced before (but not with this
installer - but with others that try to update a folder in
My Documents)
One thing to try is to Click Start -> Highlight My Documents -> Right Click ->
Properties -> Restore Defaults
And try the install again.

I agree, but you along with everyone else is testing the functionally
of the installer and since you are the lucky one with the problem we
would appreciate you testing this. Thanks

I will try this after work but do not blieve that this is good
solution. Since the beta is Windows 7 compliant we should be able
to put the program in any folder that Windoes 7 allows.

Try installing using the default path and see what happens. If you
get the same error, then submit a report to the bug tracker.
