The only way I could get Beta 2 to install was to move My Documents back to the
original location on C drive.
Please recode the program to accept the variable location as discribed in
earlier threads.

It may be when the installer is trying to copy the firmware files...which go
into My Documents. If you do a Custom install and
deselect the installation of everything but PowerSDR, I think the issue may
disappear.

Tom,
PowerSDR does not store anything in the My Documents folder. V2.0 Beta
stores the database in the %APPDATA% folder. You can specify a different
location for the database using a command-line parameter.

It is possible and that is what I have done and appears to be what is
casuing the problem. The beta program must be looking for the default
location but should use a variable that will point it to the current My
Documents directory

In WinXP it was possible to change the location of the My Documents
folder. Is that not possible in Win7.

Thanks. Looks like you found the solution. The programmers need to
change the way they code the path. I do not want to use the defualt
location for My Documents. I have a SSD drive that I use for the
operating system and my ham programs. Man is it fast. I put all other
programs and My Documents on conventional hard drives since the SSD
drive is not large enough.
