This sounds like what happens to my 1500 when I run it though an external USB hub.. I have better results without the external USB that I needed to make it work totally before with previous PSDR's.

Hi Dudley,
I've tried that. I've also tried turning everything off, rebooting the computer, turning on just the 1500 and then bringing up PowerSDR. Windows Device Manager shows the Flex 1500 USB drivers, and PowerSDR knows that is there in the Chooser. Also, the S/N and Firmware version are listed in Setup, but there is no panadapter data or audio. If I change bands I can hear the relays clicking. It's like all the data streams are working except for the I/Q data from the radio to the computer.

The 1500 worked fine on my XP laptop with v2.0.8 although I never got it working on Win7 with 2.0.8. Next step is to load 2.0.16 on the laptop and make sure it still works there.

Clay,

Cycle the power of the 1500 then bring up PowerSDR.

Just for fun, I moved the 1500 to a different USB port. I get the
message that my device has been successfully installed, but
PowerSDR still doesn't seem to have a connection to the I/Q data.
It does know the S/N and Firmware info (in the Setup dialog), so
    there is some communication happening.

The subject says most of it. Version 2.0.16 is working fine
for the 3000 and the 5000A. I turned off the Firewire
devices, connected the 1500 up to a USB port and restarted
PowerSDR. The chooser listed the 1500 and I chose it. It
then asked to upgrade the firmware to 0.5.0.1 and I said yes.
I power cycled the radio as requested and PowerSDR started
up. When I push start the panadapter is blank and the S-Meter
reads -271 dBm. I shut everything down, rebooted Win7 and
tried again. PowerSDR again asked me to select a radio and I
chose the 1500. When I push start, everything remains flatline.

The 1500 works fine on my laptop with 2.0.8, although I
haven't tried since the firmware update. I never could get it
to work on my Win7 machine with 2.0.8. At Tim's suggestion, I
decided to wait for this release. What do I try next? I'd
really like to have both the 5000A and 1500 running at the
        same time on this machine.
