Okay Tim, thanks for the clarification. I know it can be hard to
redirect a projects goals when the "Building is almost done" A lot of
time involved that can be best used on a new design or bugs. (deep impact)
The sooner Deep Impact gets started the better for all. Just my view.
I'll bet that the Flex projects designers and implementors may have not
foreseen how this practical use of a "concept" has impacted radio
today. I hear a ton of positive discussion on the bands. My hat's off
to all, despite my impatience.
Thanks, and Happy New Year.

The limitation is the audio/IQ routing architecture in PowerSDR. It was never
designed from the beginning to support multiple hardware receivers (it was
built for the SDR-1000).
It would be very difficult at this juncture to "retool" PowerSDR to do this.
The feature will have to wait until Deep Impact.

Okay, what is the limiting parameter? Just programing or some hardware issue?
If it's in any way related to hardware, I'll be looking for other solutions.
Thanks,
Vic

I think VAC is not possible at present.

Could someone give a straight answer as to whether it's possible for
the 2nd receiver of the 5000A to be programmed to use VAC (with
separate cables from the main receiver) and if it is, when? A major
part of using a second receiver would be to run programs connected to
it, like some other radios can do. Basically two radios in one, which
is what I thought the Flex advertisements suggested. Then again
maybe I misinterpreted and hoped for too much.
Also there is the suggestion of breaking out the audio from each
receiver ported to the stereo jack on the back of the Flex 5000A. As
in right and left channels. I have not been able to get this to
work. In fact I cannot get any audio from that jack. Any
suggestions as to what I'm doing incorrectly, or again am I
misinterpreting it's use.
