An update on this bug and a request for input on packaging.
I have fixed the bug and implemented TopicLock/Unlock in the SqlStore. In
order to make this work I added 2 Stored Procedures, but did not make any
changes to the table definitions in the store (the table designer for Topic
had included a bit for a Writable column).
I will create the normal set of release files, and this will include a new
version of the Tools with the additional Stored Procedures compiled in.
However I want to put an additional script file in the Tools section that
must be run manually by those sites updating to this version (I think it
will be 2.0.0.194 of FlexWiki) who also run SQL Stores. The additional
script will include instructions for running the script via the SQL Manager.
This additional script needs to be run separately so that there is no data
loss. The Tools package should only be used for creating an entirely new SQL
store - it was not intended to be used for maintenance or updating of a
store.
Do the sites running SQL Stores have the knowledge to perform this update
with some instructions?
Note: This has no impact on sites using SQL just for Forms-based
authentication
