We'll have the ability to control the propeller as well as the throttle and mixture for the Cessna 310 very soon. In preparation for that, I'd like to propose changing some of the default keybindings.
Many (most?) larger piston-engine planes have a pedestal in the centre with, from left to right, throttle (black), propeller control (blue), and mixture (red). Most PC keyboards have a 3x2 cluster of keys at the top, with Insert/Delete on the left, Home/End in the middle, and Page Up/Page down on the right. I'd like to rebind those as follows: [Left] Insert: increase all throttles Delete: decrease all throttles [Centre] Home: increase all propeller RPM End: decrease all propeller RPM [Right] Page Up: enrich all mixture Page Down: lean all mixture That way, the layout would correspond with that of the controls in a real plane, and it would be trivially easy to control the powerplant with one hand (without looking) while holding a mouse or joystick in the other.
