If you configure --without-logging, then all this SG_LOG() output will
be disabled.

It might be a problem for view points/aircraft that sit lower to the
ground. What kind of video card are you running? This means that if
your view point is closer than 1.3 meters to the ground, you will see
strange near clipping artifacts.

I'm not seeing this at all on my end. The controls all start out
centered for me. Are you running with keyboard input, or joystick for
the yoke?

Yes, YASim engine start procedures need to be on the todo list
somewhere.

This is another thing that needs to be addressed. If you blip the
starter for even the shortest amount of time, the engine automatically
is fully running.
You need to crank longer than 'n' seconds before the engine catches
and runs.
Along with that, Erik sent me some nice engine cranking and engine
coughing to life samples. It would be nice to use these, but we'd
need some additional support in the sound effects code which I don't
have time to do before 0.7.9.
