Indeed.  Actually, the 40 knots thing is a bug, too.  The engine power
at idle took a big jump recently.  I increased the MP at idle to 6" on
Dave's suggestion, but the power produced is still proportional to
manifold pressure.  On a physical level, YASim thinks that the engine
is running in a vacuum -- real engines can only expand gas down to
ambient pressure and won't get much power out of 6" MP.  YASim gets
exactly 6/28 (or whatever ambient is) of maximum power in that
environment.

The startup stuff, though, should be really simple.  What do I do,
check the cranking flag and add some delay before it turns over?
