I think that's an excellent start. The pilot and look-at viewers contain a very large amount of code repetition, and a merger would give us a good starting point either for later cleanups or for a later rewrite. Another good strategy would be to remove every getter and setter from viewer.hxx that's not currently used so that we know what we actually have to support. I'll look forward to seeing the patch.
