Thanks, that did the trick (it still left a lot of whitespace differences, but it got rid of about 75% of them for me). I managed to get it compiled, but I see almost no change in framerate -- instead of 44 fps it flickered between 44 and 45 fps, which is inside any reasonable margin of error. If Norm can tell us what the patch was supposed to do, perhaps we can help find a way to make it work. I'm going to leave it out for now, though.
