Something I've always thought would be cool to mess around with (but never even have come close to having the time) would be to put together a custom linux distribution on a bootable cd that detected/supported a couple of the major 3d graphics cards. My biases would be with Debian if I actually worked on this, but like I said, no time ... :-( Anyway, the goal would be to produce a bootable cd that would come up, start X with the proper drivers, and then run flightgear. If we could get it < 50 Mb or so, we could put it on one of those funky mini-cd-rom/business card thingies. Then if we could find someone who wanted to burn a couple 100 or 1000 of these we could hand them out at LWCE. :-) Curt. -- Curtis Olson IVLab / HumanFIRST Program FlightGear Project Twin Cities [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Minnesota http://www.menet.umn.edu/~curt http://www.flightgear.org _______________________________________________ Flightgear-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel
