People need to check this out if they haven't already: fgfs --aircraft=wrightFlyer1903-v1-nl-uiuc You definitely need to stay on your toes (so to speak) to keep this thing in the air. The lack of lateral stability is very apparent. If you get banked a little too much, you'll slide right out of the sky. The UIUC folks did a very good job on the flight dynamics. My gut feeling is that this is probably very close in terms of performance to the original.
