Hmm.. I don't see this.... hmm...

I wonder if it's 'reality' related ... yup that's it

This only happens with    // in newauto.hxx
  #define DEFAULT_AP_HEADING_LOCK FGAutopilot::FG_DG_HEADING_LOCK
and not with 
  #define DEFAULT_AP_HEADING_LOCK FGAutopilot::FG_TRUE_HEADING_LOCK

No wonder I never saw this :-)
