If you want to add an aircraft to FlightGear you have a few choices:

1) Create a JSBSim model. You can get a head start on the configuration
file by using David Culp's Aeromatic tool on the JSBSim.org web site. Click
on the Aeromatic link or simply go here:

http://jsbsim.sourceforge.net/aeromatic.html

This will give you a rough head start on the flight model. You can tweak
that once you get more detailed info by "data mining" on the net, or by
using known relations for the various aero coefficients, etc.

2) Create a YASim model. You'll need to know geometry and performance data
for an aircraft, if I am not mistaken.

3) Create a UIUC-Larcsim model. I am completely clueless how this is done.

Apart from that, there are the instruments, panel, 3D model, etc. that
simply entails a lot of hard work. However, for all of these things, no
coding is required apart from defining the above mentioned aircraft-specific
entities. This is by design.
