Since in JSBSim the reference point is a configuration option, there are no
conflicts anymore.
If, say XXXSim can only report positions of the left wing tip (just to give a
boring example), JSBSim is gracefully able to use this visual model too. Just
locate the JSBSim VRP at the left wingtip ...
I think we can also have the best compatibility for 1.60 files when we take
the static center of gravity for a default value of the VRP. Since previously
the dynamic center of gravity was reported to FGInterface the static one will
hopefully be close to the static one.

By the way, I don't know what the eyepoint is used for. I thought it is only
used to compute the accelerations of the pilots head?

Ah, ok. I had this impression too. Therefore my question above.
And no, I can't find a place where the eyepoint is reported to FGInterface.
