No. Centimeters aren't a SI-Unit! xyz * 10^-2 Meters would be valid, but xyz Centimeters not.


So when you've got an Interface and say that only SI units are allowed you know that you don't have these problems.

If you want the interface to be more readable (no need to in this case) you can allow trivial names (Newton instead of kg*m/s^2) and the scaling prefixes (centi-, mega-, milli-) - but then you'll get a much more complicated thing that tends to have the same problems with inch/foot/mile
