Not so fast. Aero tables might be indexed for flaps based on angle. If the 
flaps are
commanded to 30 degrees the aero force and moment will be calculated based on 
that. What I
was getting at is this: if the flap actuator extends fifty percent, there's a 
good chance
that you're not going to get exactly 30 degrees flaps. The actuator mechnism 
probably
won't linearly extend the flaps due to the compound nature of the flap 
mechanisms.
