As a left-field suggestion: how about defining the runways of the old NAS Alameda, which is just south of downtown Oakland and immediately across the bay from San Francisco. The base was closed in the mid 90's, I believe, and is now being converted into industrial loft space. But the runways are still there clear as day: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=37.786114,-122.318387&spn=0.027226,0.028824&t=k&hl=en The folks who like to play with the carrier aircraft probably wouldn't mind having this active, either.
