It takes things back to how they were - you unpack everything directly in your scenery directory - the scenery tarballs then contain everything that should be below that.

I have in mind the "fgadmin" utility which installs and removes scenery and 
knows where everything should go.  That is going to require quite a bit of modification I 
suspect.
