Hi guys, by the New Year I'll have an update to "5803051.btg.gz" located in
"\e170s50\e174s42", completed. Mainly with new elevations and face types, I
hope to have significant objects included.
The procedure of including a ".btg"-file into the standard scenery is a
no-op, so if you like to distribute your work then I'd suggest to
simply put ir onto a web page, make a small description and write a
short announcement to this or the "-users" list.
I agree with Martin, just put it on a web page and announce it
Flightgear-user mailing list; that's the easyest way, it does not even
force anyone to try and combine lots of user-made scenery addons which
are de facto not 'standard'.
Then I have a suggestion for Jon Stockill regarding this procedure, it
would be nice to include in http://fgfsdb.stockill.org some kind of a
link page to those web pages of user-made sceneries, which are often
unknown because there's no central coordination between the scenery
developers around the world and you know about them just because you can
find the links on a few mailing lists (well, you have to crawl in the
mailing list archive if you want to know where to find other user-made
sceneries).
Happy XMas :-)
Roberto
