Hi Torsten, You asked "should this really be part of a flight simulation software?". Of course, the answer depends on whether you are talking about a civilian or military flight simulator. FG is really a civilian simulator, and the bomb dropping in the Vulcan is simply eye-candy and does not change this. The balance between FG being civilian and having some military content has been discussed before. As I recall, the general consensus was that people could develop whatever they wished, provided it did not affect other peoples work or enjoyment of the simulator. This does not change that - the bombs are not exposed over the MP environment, so even if I simulate bombing runway 28L of KSFO, no-one would notice. It is, of course, a user's own choice which aircraft they fly, and whether or not to deploy the weapons that might be modeled. If you don't fly the Vulcan, you won't notice any change. I am completely against FG becoming combat-oriented to the detriment to the civilian environment, as I have made clear in previous posts regarding MP dogfighting. My personal view is that there is more value in improviing the general (civilian) simulation environment than developing a very specialized dogfighting sim. This fix was was merely a minor addition to the rather rough modeling already present on the Vulcan. You also asked "what will be the next step?". Nothing on my part - I have much more interesting things to do with my time than try to model explosions in FG. Is anyone working on the weather system at the moment? I hope this answers your questions to your satisfaction. This is an important issue, and something that should be discussed fully.
