Since this is about replacing(?) scenery objects, just updating/replacing the faulty model in Jon Stockill's DB (http://fgfsdb.stockill.org) might be an easier solution. The website generates the necessary .stg files on the fly, making it easy to rebuild the scenery object files. BTW There are many more objects in the DB than in the standard scenery. Scenery rebuilds in the sense of elevation/landuse data are rare because of the computing demands involved in doing it world wide. Thanks to Martin we have at least a similar central repository for capturing land use data (http://mapserver.flightgear.org). No automatic scenery generation yet though.
